• Healing of Body, Mind and Soul •
Although we may wish that a spiritual life and connection to God would heal our deep seated emotional wounds, it is rarely enough. By looking into the history of spiritual groups in this country it becomes obvious that even people who have attained great levels of spiritual insight have fallen prey to alcoholism, sexual affairs, or other manifestations of unhealed wounds. The spiritual life can infuse us with vitality, energy, and optimism. But if we do not also heal our emotional wounds we cannot achieve true inner peace and will eventually act out the pain of our past. At the Centers of Light our classes, spiritual exercises, and teaching are all based in a two-pronged practice of spiritual growth and emotional healing. When we are more connected into the great love and light of God, we have the courage and energy to approach painful parts of ourselves; in turn we become more emotionally healthy and have more space for God to work in our bodies, minds, and hearts. When the spiritual and emotional healing processes are joined, they create a powerful momentum for transformation of our bodies, minds, hearts and lives.
