The mystical path is a profoundly personal and individual path. The process of developing oneness with the Creator can only be achieved through one’s own spiritual work (as directed by a Teacher). However, spiritual community can be a catalyst and container for the deeply personal transformation process. Our society does not support the choice to make one’s spiritual life and relationship with the Creator the primary focus of our lives. This choice is seen as odd at best and insane at worst. It is therefore acutely important to have a community within which this work can be openly shared, supported, and encouraged. In order for a community to be a positive force in spiritual development and emotional healing, the relationships must be based in honesty, caring, and depth. At the Centers of Light our community is based in exactly these qualities. Each member is encouraged to be honest, open, and deep in their relationships with each other. They are assisted in building positive communication skills, conflict resolutions skills, and willingness to fearlessly self-reflect. The Centers of Light are therefore powerful, joyful, and deeply connected spiritual communities in which each person is welcomed warmly.
